Titanium wedding and engagement rings are quickly gaining popularity among the open minded bride. A shiny yet durable grayish-white metal that is only 1/3 the weight of gold. Jewelers use one of three kinds of titanium for rings: Ti 6/4 (aircraft grade); Ti-6/6/2 (extra-hard alloy); and CP (commercial pure Ti-999) because of their inherent strength, and resistance to corrosion.
Contrary to popular belief, titanium is not scratch proof. It just takes some time before the usual marks of wear and tear become more noticeable. To restore the appearance of scratched or damaged titanium rings, just bring these to a jeweler and have these polished.
